You know, it feels weird that Quarter 3 is already coming to a close, it's as if just yesterday it had been the start of Quater 2. A lot had happened in this quarter compared to Quarter 2 to the point where I could basically write about it forever (not really.) For starters, I'll talk about the more basic things, that which include the Family Nites and recognition night. Recognition night was like any other one, it's just the same thing and nothings unique. I got my 4.0 like usually and nothing interesting that distinguished or made it unique from the others had occurred. The Family Nites I suppose are unique as they have different subjects. If you need ANOTHER summary for Family Nite because you can't read the other past 6 blogs including Family Nite, it's just an afterschool event where parents can bring their parents, guardians, siblings, etc, to show what they've learned or are going to learn at school. The past 3-4 I think were based off of Math & Science, nothing interesting really had happened there. I remember just being half awake doing all of that, wished there was a bigger spark to them. Apparently, it's required to go to one to graduate, so I'll just go on the very last one and write about that. January, aka the start of the month, only consisted of the major events ISA & Family Nite, so not much to it. Speaking of ISA, that was another big event. I have absolutely no idea what ISA stands for, but I believe it's an abbreviation for " International Sports & Athletics " or something like that. It's not like I asked since I didn't really care about them. I'm actually not a big fan of ISA events, yes, I do sports like golf & bowling, but that's basically it. Some of the ISA events were hosted at our school, and the leadership students (including me) had to help out and work there for the whole school day. I mean, I didn't really like it, but I also didn't hate it as it allowed me to skip all those classes. I really didn't like the girls' volleyball and boys' softball one though, as I had to help with the scoreboard. I worked as the girls' volleyball scorekeeper, and I didn't understand how it worked, so without the referee, the game most likely would've been ruined. Not to mention how over-competitive some sports players can be, I really hate doing sports that I'm not good at or don't know how to play, especially if it's with a team that depends on me. I also hated being that scorekeeper because of the sun, couldn't have picked an even better time to absolutely beat me down. Besides that, all the other ISA events hosted at our school were absolutely fine (I think there was only one more). Now onto the other ISA events which were the ones leadership had to actually participate in. I really want to go out on whatever head executive or whatever person made us go through all of that. I didn't like a lot of the ISA events that I had to actually participate in, especially the soccer one. It was absolutely mortifying as I couldn't play soccer and I thought about just not coming at all. But I was forced by a specific group leader that I rather not rat out, so thank you for that. The only ISA that was the best was bowling, I was actually good at bowling as I'd played it a lot. It was one of my favorite ISA events, and I scored extremely high. I accidentally ordered a whole pizza there which I don't really want to get into. But ISA was a solid 7/10 since it let me skip some classes & I liked a few of them. I think that roughly covers January, which is why we're now onto the second month, February. February had a lot in store, mainly because that's when my yearbook page was finally workable. As I've said before in some past blogs, I was assigned the " Talent Show " page in the yearbook, but it was cancelled due to no participants. Now I was assigned a new one which was about the Family Nite as previously mentioned, I got this dude later on through the month, and I really liked it. It was fun editing the pictures and not going to lie, some of them were pretty nice. Another thing that had happened was spirit week, spirit week is just showing your support and getting your team on your respected grade to win by earning points in specific challenges. Team 8-1 won because of course we're amazing. Last but not least leaves out one more event on the school which was the Elementary School Dance Competition. Not much to really say about it, it was just the final major activity (besides the upcoming ISA thing but we're not supposed to really write about that.) It's basically a bunch of elementary kids coming from all around Ilima like Holomua, and competing with other schools to win the Ilima Dance Competition trophy. I was the photographer, and I got some pretty good pictures, also some weird ones. It was also sad since McKenzie left and I'm not really sure if she reads these blogs even after she left so if she is. Hola, lot of catfish there, right? Anyways, Quarter 3 was okay, there was a lot more than Quarter 2, but Quarter 1 probably had a lot more. The 3rd quarter was one of the best, as it had bowling though so. Also, someone needs to tell these damn 7th graders to stop taking my phone, like calm yourself...

It isn't that hard to not take my phone, don't let the intrusive thoughts win.
I have a few highs about the quarter that I'd like to share about, first of all, one of the highs may be bowling. I know this one's completely stupid to some people, but I really liked the bowling ISA. It was really fun, and I enjoyed it a lot, it also made me somehow buy a whole pizza on accident so that must mean something. Overall, it was one of the more enjoyable ISA experiences I had, so I really like it. Another high may be how I was able to socialize more with the leadership group. I was, and still am very quiet to this day, but I managed to talk and interact more with the group there and they're fun to be around. They are also very helpful and can just guide me through some things I don't understand. Another high was that this quarter went by a lot quicker than the others, don't get me wrong, it's not like I completely despise being here. But it's extremely stressful sometimes and it's nice to take a break once in a while. So, I'm sort of ready for spring break. Onto the lows, I can't really think of any, but I do have one. I guess a low was Ashley and McKenzie moving/transferring schools. They're one of the first people I've talked to in leadership, and they helped me get comfortable with everyone. Ashley leaving was sort of unexpected and random though. They've really helped me get more comfortable with being a part of leadership, and I'm grateful for them entirely.

One of the successful recognition nights
A moral I learned throughout this corner is about how you should be more open with yourself, of course, sometimes bottling things up can be good. I still do it for a lot of issues I have that I can't really talk about to other people, but it's also better to slowly pour those issues out, as others will be there to help you. I mean, I still have a lot of things that I keep to myself and myself only but being at leadership made me feel more comfortable to just be open with myself. Of course, I'm not that one kid that's always using their problems to manipulate others and to be the center of attention, of course not. Sometimes, it's good to talk to someone if you really need it.
Family Nite #4 The school year came and gone by really fast, so I hope this last quarter really shows the best it can possibly be. I expect a lot of fun events, and I want to be able to be more comfortable with expressing myself fully. I want to have a great final year and quarter and Ilima, so this last one needs to truly count. I understand how time will repeatedly flow inevitably. But with these years at Ilima, I wish I could just stay, as I've felt a lot more comfortable and open with myself here. Of course, it doesn't work like that, so if you truly want to make something the greatest, you need to commit to it properly.
