Quarter 2 Blog

Quarter 2 was a huge step from the first quarter to the 2nd, along with improvements in myself as a person I was from the start of the first quarter, compared to the coming close of the second. The second quarter was mostly famous for the afterschool activities and work. There were the afterschool sales (of course) which weren't exactly that bad because it allowed me to leave class early. However, the one thing I had a problem with was most likely the working that happened after school. Basically, as a part of leadership, we all had to work for any sort of event that the school put up like recognition night were people who got Honor Roll or something like that are represented and given certificates or awards and such, or Family Nite where kids bring their parents to special occasions. These days took so long, and it was extremely tiring for me. It was super-hot, super tedious, and just not something I was really into. With quarter 2 starting Aswell, I also had to work with a new GT group. Personally, my GT group is really good, I like them a lot, super hard working, and always on the ball when told to do something. With the GT group, we focused on making a video that was based off a problem that happened at our school. With my teams helped, we successfully recorded, acted, and made a pretty good video. Specifically, the video targeted school fights and how to deal with them correctly. This quarter had also been a lot quicker and more familiar than last quarter. It was really interesting with a lot more difficult problems with other classes, and lessons that I'm more unfamiliar with. In fact, in leadership I had to make up a whole dance and perform it to the whole class. It went well, but I still find it arduous. Which isn't bad, of course, it's always nice to have something unfamiliar. I don't have much to write about this quarter, except I did improve in communication (in some way) and got more social with most of the leadership students. We also had started working on the school yearbook; however, my pages were delayed because there was no talent show and I can't make a page on something that didn't even occur. Overall, this quarters been great, I wish I could've written a lot more, but nothing to interesting had happened this quarter compared to the first one. Other things happened that consisted of the leadership students collaborating together like sign waving, bowling, working, or such. Hopefully the third quarter will be something more peculiar.

Some of the highs this quarter was that I was able to be more communicative and social to the leadership students. At the start of quarter 1, I was obviously very quiet, kept to myself, and just in general, introverted. I still am this quarter, but I am also still somewhat talkative and social with the leadership students as of now. Another high may have been that this quarter was a lot more relaxing. Of course, I like a week that's interesting and has a lot to it, but I also just like to relax and not think too much about some things. Another downside may be how I still struggle with some communication. Of course, I talk a lot more than I had last quarter, perhaps retreat helped me, but I still can't really talk that much, and I don't really do high fives or stuff like that. I'm still germophobic, so although it means no offense, I don't really touch a person. Overall, I barely have anything to think about this quarter, it was quite literally just a normal and relaxing one, nothing much had happened otherwise. I guess I sort of wished I was able to tell a lot more.

A moral of this week I learned was about opening up to others I suppose. I had never really talked or was social during the first quarter, so of course, interacting with others was progress. I guess I was just too quiet and untrustworthy I didn't really want to talk or interact at all. Or then again, I am just introverted and don't really talk to other people all that much. Retreat played a big part in me making more connections and I'm sort of grateful for it in a way. I still don't really talk much because, then again, still introverted; but I'm able to communicate successfully and mostly talk or interact if I need to.
Retreat allowed us to connect more

I suppose the next quarter, I expect something more unique and exciting, I want to write an interesting blog instead of what's going on right now. I need something that is interesting and mesmerizing, and in general, just a really exciting quarter that will be somewhat more entertaining than this current one.
