Quarter 3 Week 8 Blog
Finally I finished my yearbook page, it took a while editing the pictures, and writing some things out, but it was worth it. I'm pretty proud of the pictures I put on there, and what I wrote on the yearbook page as well. If you really want to know what it is, it's the Family Nite page, and speaking of Family Nite, guess what happened this week? You're probably tired of me writing out these Family Nite blog's as if they're my college resume, and I'm tired too. Not really, but I'll do my best to concise it. You most likely know what a Family Nite is, I mean if you don't know, why are you reading this? But just a recap, Family Nite is an after school event in which a student brings their Parents, Guardians, Siblings, etc to view what they've been doing. It improves a lot of things like teamwork, communication, and allows the parent to understand their child better. Working at a Family Nite is extremely long and time consuming, I can't really see a good side to it but it's not so bad to the point where I won't go, it allows you to graduate though and gives you some credit for high school. All of the Family Nite's differ from each other, each having their very own subject based on it. For example, the second Family Nite was based off of Social Studies, and this one was based off of Science. There are multiple different stations that fall into the category of the Family Nite, for example, or station was about natural selection. Natural selection quickly summarized is basically, based on your genetics including your appearance, you're more adaptable and likely to survive in a specific environment. Besides that, nothing much happened this week, next weeks bounds to be more chaotic though (maybe). Oh, forgot to mention we had 2 days off this week as well, so I'm surprised I was able to write more than last time.
The Family Nite went well I guess a high this week was that we had 2 days off, it was nice to. have a semi-long break for once, I know spring break is coming up, and that's a whole 10 days (I think since there's always one more day for teachers to work.) I do push myself to do some things and that makes me tired and stressed, so having a break like this was nice. A low this week was the Family Nite, I mean I don't really hate it, but during Family Nite there's a lot of parents that aren't really the brightest. I mean, a lot of them can barely read signs. It's sort of difficult to deal with, but, as said before, it's not like I despise working or going to Family Nite.
A moral I learned from this week is to be careful who you trust, it's been a month or so since the 7th graders took my phone, so I let my guard down. When that happened, Jayna took it, she literally broke the streak. Nice one.
