Quarter 4 Week 3
This week had the final ISA event, and I'll tell you that it was long, painful, and extremely pressuring. ISA which I think I finally learned what it actually means, stands for "Intermediate Student Athletics" or something, and the name says enough as to what it means. ISA is just a bunch of sports put together, some I didn't even know that fell under the category of "sports"; and all things considered, the last ISA event proves my point. The last event was dance, and I didn't even know it was an ISA event until a few days later after it happened. I thought that it was just some annual thing hosted for whatever reason. We didn't have to dance, thankfully, but we did have to help our schools dance team moving a lot of props around which included signs. The dance had to be originally choreographed by the school, and has to be unique, so our school's choreography represented some issues that others have. These issues are sort of just sensitive/common topics like drinking, insecurities, and peer pressure. They made me operate one of the peer pressures signs as they were split up into two signs for each word. This ISA event unlike the others, didn't take place within one of the intermediate schools. I've honestly forgot what the place was specifically called, but I think it was titled something under the Blaze Dale Center. It was just an extremely big theater, I've been to few similar to it, but never have I actually been behind the curtains/ in the backstage. It was an interesting experienced and I enjoyed it a lot. I still hate whoever took my fan, I think it's either Gabby or Leilani. You have no idea how hot is in that center. We did end up winning thanks to the creativity of props and dances I believe; I feel like I somehow messed up moving that peer sign though. The whole thing was fine, but it did last for a long time from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM. It felt extremely long and short for some reason. The week was pretty nice, exhausting, but it went well.
A high this week was winning the ISA event; I can imagine going to that event of 12 hours straight just to get nothing out of it. It's good to win though, not sure why but I didn't feel as excited about winning than others. It was still nice to accomplish the win successfully though. A low this week was getting ready for orientation, a lot of stress is put into the fact of orientation, I get that's the point since it's important, but it's going to happen in 2 weeks from now. I'm not to prepared honestly.
A moral I learned from this week is to always be aware of who you trust, I decided to kind of just walk away with those two near my stuff and I was tired and hot for the whole day because a few specific two took my fan.
